We are proud to craft our chocolate with only Fijian cacao supporting local cocoa farmers. The cocoa is fermented the same day it is harvested. After fermentation, the beans are sun dried for a period of 7 days. Each bean is quality controlled to ensure that only the highest quality of cacao is made into chocolate. The word "Vanua" has a deep meaning for Fijians. It is the land, people and culture working in harmony . It provides a sense of identity and belonging. Vanua Chocolate is dedicated to the Fijian cacao farmers who have held on their cacao farms and believe in Fiji’s cocoa industry . Now, Vanua Chocolate, CacaoFiji and the Fijian cacao farmers are now working together in the revival of the fine Fijian cacao industry.
